Christmas was so much fun this year! Nix loved all the decorations, treats, movies and SANTA! He kept saying "Tanta" all month, we thought for sure when he actually saw him in person he would be terrified so we took him to the mall, and low and behold he LOVED him! He ran to him, climbed up on him lap :) we were so surprised! This kid wont let his grandpas hold him, but a big fat stranger with a beard... no problem ;)
Nix at the mall after seeing SANTA!!!!At the family party Santa came to visit, most the other kids started crying... not Nix he ran to him and reached for him to hold him haha
He was sooo happy, needless to say the center of attention. Everyone could hardly believe how excited he was about this!
Waving to Santa while he talks to the kids
Santa even gave him some monster pajamas, that we had to put on immediately... First thing he did once they were on was run over to Santa and show him. Haha :)
We were up north with my family this year for Christmas day. Danny had to work Christmas Eve :p but we continued my family's tradition of going to breakfast at Denny's Christmas Eve morning. It was definately more quiet, it just being us 3, rather than all 12 of us. But it was fun! Nix and I spent the day watching Christmas shows and eating treats. With the terrible weather Danny was able to get off early so we could head up, we were very blessed with clear roads. My sister was 2 hours ahead of us and they were right in the storm. Well, hours and hours and HOURS later we made it!
We made it in time to open Christmas Eve gifts and of course have treats:) Heres Nix with his FAVORITE uncle "Nay-Nay". He idolizes this kid more than anyone I know.
Here's Nix in his new car jammies, that he LOVED!
Tia and Addision got Nix a golf set, which to this day is his favorite toy haha. He would go put with Daddy in the backyard, but didn't have clubs so he would improvise and use his lightsaber. Now he can golf like daddy :) future Tiger Woods on our hands!
Opening presents from grandma and grandpa
Aunt Dominique made Nix a cowboy blanket too!
Christmas morning came hours later... thanks to my crazy siblings! Our stockings
AND Nixons Christmas :) he was one spoiled boy this weekend!
Figuring out how his car works
opening presents from "Tanta"
cereal, naked, and jeep... what else could a little boy need? :)
Nix Christmas morning in his new "car-car" and "pack-pack"
We also got to talk to Danny's brother David via Skype on his mission. It was so fun to see him and catch up, Nix of course showed all his presents to him and showed off! Which David loved.
It was such a fun weekend. I was sad for it to come to an end. Christmas took on a whole new meaning this year. Can't wait for next year to come!!!
